Today‘s drawing session involved some random objects from a book that I’m pretty sure is AI slop…still happy with how they turned out! 🎨

Finally found some time to draw again. After the previous disaster with the human face, I decided to dive into Pypah Santos’ Draw Amazing Faces. It’s a start, but some of these skulls are definitely not human… 🎨

Went to see The Super Mario Galaxy Movie with my nephew today. So much fan service for the older viewers - R.O.B., Fox and Bowser OS made me laugh out loud and feel nostalgic! 🎨🎮🍿
Impressions from and around the #Kleingarten 🌱. Trying to embrace even the bad drawings as with my attempt to copy the fallen tree trunks. Rather happy with the flowers, though. 🎨

Day 30. The human hand. This was so much easier than expected…not perfect but I’m honestly impressed about how “easy” drawing hands can be.
This is the end of Mark Kistler’s You Can Draw in 30 Days. I can recommend this one to those who consider getting into drawing! Let’s see what’s next! 🎨
Day 29. The human eye (and a cheetah’s). Enjoyed this one more than yesterday’s face lesson. Especially working with my own eye as a reference (the middle one) was fun! One more day to go! 🎨
Day 28. The human face…or what I think about it: a mess. I didn’t expect to create masterpieces when attempting this lesson, but this was just frustrating. With the eye and hand still coming up, this is not a good start for the final sessions. 🎨
Day 27. Lettering in two-point perspective. 🎨
This. Was. A. Struggle! Took me several hours to do this. Some retrospection is in order: Did I…
After this disaster, I’m getting more and more scared by the thought of doing human faces, eyes and hands next…you should, too. You have to see the results!
Day 26. A city in two-point perspective. Four more days to go in Kistler’s book… 🎨
Day 25. A castle in two-point perspective. Just half a page today as the two-point lessons are all rather repetitive - which is good because the last three activities are already intimidating: the human face, eye and hand 😬. 🎨
Day 24. A tower in two-point perspective. Very technical, but still fun! 🎨
Day 23. A city in one-point perspective. Don’t know when and why I started to turn it into something out of a post-apocalyptic narrative. 🤷♂️🎨
Day 21. Trees - love the trunks, hate the proportions of the leaves. 🎨
Day 20. Volcanoes, craters, a cup of coffee…and a space chase. Rather happy with how this one turned out! 🎨
Day 19. Pyramids. 🎨
Day 18. The Scroll. Might have been a bit too overconfident when attempting to copy a medieval depiction of a bear on my last scroll…seems like this one and the terrifying koala from day 8 might be buddies. I don’t enjoy the black background behind the scroll either. 🎨
Day 17. Rippling flags and some trumpets in a wall. 🎨
Day 16. Waves and water. Adding some The_Art_Coach to the mix because of the aquatic theme, everything is a ribbon… 🎨
Day 15. Contour tubes and little Michelin people. Perspective is definitely still off… 🎨
Day 14. Lilies and paper flowers. 🎨
Day 13. Advanced-level houses - not perfect, but I’m not even halfway through with Kistler’s course. 🎨
Day 12. What was supposed to be “constructing with cubes” quickly turned into a study of mailboxes. 🎨
Day 11. Advanced cylinders, which also can be holes…I guess. 🎨
Day 10. Of cylinders and cans. 🎨
Day 9. Roses made from bowls. 🎨
Artists of the Fediverse: How do you prevent your previous drawings in your sketchbook from smudging?
Day 8. From “cool koalas” to “oh, god no…kill it with fire”. I’m really sorry for these ‘koalas’ to have been brought into this existence by me. 🎨
Day 7. Advanced cubes. Not particularly happy with how they turned out … hopefully the koalas in the next lesson are going to be better … 🎨
Day 6. Stacking tables. Added a Kaweco Special S 2.0 to my tools - it really helps with details in contrast to the Brass SketchUp 5.6! 🎨
Day 5. Hollow cubes a.k.a. a bunch of boxes. 🎨
Day 4. Moving on to cubes! 🎨
Day 3. That was a weird one… 🎨
Day 2. It’s a fun experience exploring basics step by step, applying them in a controlled process but also to step out of the boundaries to try out new things. 🎨

Day 1 of trying to be more creative following Mark Kistler’s You Can Draw in 30 Days. Let‘s see where this takes me. 🎨
